ABOUT US
Marketing, being the most widespread field in the commerce domain, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College's Marketing Society was established in 2020 with the objective of providing ardent knowledge and practical exposure to the marketing world. Marksoc has established itself in the Delhi University circuit over the last two years. The organisation is notable for abandoning traditional approaches in favour of intensive skill-building for the real world. Marksoc aims to provide individuals with opportunities to learn how to represent themselves and their work. The organisation has done it all, from facilitating live projects and interacting with industry professionals to knowledge-sharing seminars and updates on marketing learning. Our vision is of an inclusive, enthusiastic, and value-driven community in which every individual is encouraged to take responsibility, professional progression is available, and no stone is left unturned in order to achieve the goals.
This year, the society published market rivals on topics such as surrogate marketing and metaverse marketing; hosted Mark talks conducted by Marketing Directors from well-known companies such as Skoda and Indigo; and started Telegram and Whatsapp communities to provide a platform for sharing exciting marketing phenomena such as facts, then and now, mark the date, and quizzes. We were also involved in a live project with Growdiesel, an initiative committed to the causes of the environment, energy, and fuel farmer empowerment. With a footfall of 1400+, Marksoc's annual event ELIXIR 2.0 was packed to the brim with a myriad of events that tested every ounce of marketing knowledge one could possibly obtain! Elixir 2.0 incorporated three fun-filled and spectacular events: Marketing Mishaps, Ad-Mad, and Pitch Please, which were held in a hybrid mode. These events ranged from outlining a yielding marketing plan to succeeding against your opponents through buying a company's successful strategy and handling a company's real-marketing crisis.

OUR DEPARTMENTS

Research & Development
This department comprises all aspects of society's research and development. It is in charge of publishing marketing articles, e-magazines, and research papers and brainstorming and ideating new campaigns for society to implement. The Research and Development Department likewise manages our society's Telegram and WhatsApp communities.

Social Media Marketing
This department aids society in accelerating promotional projects, broadening society's reach, and coming up with campaign ideas. The Marketing Society's social media handles provide a wide range of information, ranging from real-life events like marketing mishaps to entertaining stuff like movie marketing.

External Relations
The External Relations Department is in charge of managing sponsorships, communicating effectively and maintaining relations with other societies. Its responsibility is to facilitate partnerships and create ties with the media and influencers for events and competitions. External Relations is also in charge of the Mark Talks interview series.

Live Projects
This department aids in the creation of frameworks for live projects. It is also in charge of developing operational plans, marketing, and occasionally aiding in promotional activities. It also provides you with fieldwork knowledge as well as a practical understanding of how the marketing area operates.
