Recreational Retreat

The spectacle commenced with an explosion of excitement, setting the stage for The Recreational Retreat, a veritable extravaganza that took place on 26th April.

It wasn't just an event; it was an experience that transcended the ordinary, an odyssey of fun and frolic that etched itself into the annals of memory with indelible strokes of merriment.

The day unfolded like a symphony, orchestrated to perfection, with each note of amusement crescendoing into a crescendo of euphoria. The myriad of engaging games such as the scavenger hunt, wicket smash, imposter challenge, pictionary, and card sequence kept attendees immersed in a whirlwind of entertainment and camaraderie. But it wasn't just about the games; it was about the atmosphere, an intoxicating blend of laughter, joy, and togetherness. Amidst the lively atmosphere, the tantalizing aroma of food from the diverse array of food stalls added to the festive ambiance.

It was evident that ‘’The Recreational Retreat’’ had transcended mere entertainment; it had become a tapestry of memories woven with threads of laughter, joy, and lasting connections.

Mythical Showdown

Imagine Harry Potter's invisible cloak, available for purchase, granting its wearer the power to vanish from sight at will, or Medusa's mirror, said to unveil hidden truths, both waiting to be discovered amidst the ordinary chaos of everyday life. The Marketing Society of SBSC held such an event - The Mythical Showdown , where fiction meets marketing.

The competition consisted of three major rounds. It began with an online marketing quiz conducted on Unstop, which served as the initial filter to identify the most knowledgeable teams. The excitement then shifted to the campus for the remaining two rounds: Bidding Wars and the final pitching round. The qualified teams of the first round proceeded to the second one where they faced each other in a bidding war competing to buy their preferred fictional item. Each fictional item had its own side effect which was taken into consideration while the teams prepared their pitches. The stakes were high and the teams had to outsmart their opponents and claim victory in this exhilarating auction showdown.

The pitches were then presented in front of our esteemed judges where branding expertise of the teams were put to test. With a strategic approach and amidst the chaos, the team that standed out emerged victorious.

Pairing Prodigy

Welcome to 'Pairing Prodigy'—where creativity reigns supreme and conventional thinking is simply out of place. In this exhilarating competition, expect the unexpected as you navigate through unconventional pairings that rival the madness of ‘convincing the bald to buy combs’.

The competition was divided into three rounds- the first of which was conducted online and the other two on campus. The first round was a quiz conducted online which was an ultimate test of marketing mastery and was an eliminatory round.

Qualified teams from the first round moved forward to the second phase which was an offline jeopardy game with multiple categories each with questions escalating in difficulty and points increment. After which, the selected teams were required to pitch the most peculiar pairings unimaginable.

They were assigned weird product combinations to be pitched in front of the judges in order to emerge as the ultimate branding champion.
