MARKADE

To foster celebration and activity among the freshers throughout the college, we planned a promotional event 'MARKADE' for them. With almost 500+ people attending, the event was completely packed. Markade featured a number of entertaining opportunities to involve the audience, including food stalls serving delicious Chinese snacks and coffee, with the aroma of coffee being spread all over the college premises and game stalls crowded the entire day with Freshers. Be it the ‘whisper challenge’ in which participants had to wear a headphone and guess what was being spoken to them or ‘shoot your shot’ in which the aiming skills were put to test, people loved every bit of it.

The main attraction of our event MARKADE was our TREASURE HUNT. The hunt was conducted for the freshers and was a unique way of exploring the campus. It involved various clues creatively designed and written on a burnt paper describing different and offbeat locations within the campus which the freshers had to decipher. The hunt saw participation from more than 150 students and prizes were distributed worth 5k.

Additionally, there was a photo booth for people to capture the events’ memories for years to come, and a comments chart ‘#firstthoughtsonsbsc’ on which people could write their views about the event, the college, the campus etc.

This jolly afternoon ended with a lot of praise, celebration and camaraderie surrounded by music and giggles.
