MARKADE 2.0

In a bid to foster a sense of celebration and companionship among the incoming college freshmen, we organized a dynamic promotional event titled 'MARKADE 2.0'. The turnout was impressive, with over 300 participants joining in for the festivities. The event was abuzz with a diverse range of engaging activities designed to captivate the attention of the attendees. Notably, a wristwatch sampling stall and a variety of game booths kept the freshman crowd engrossed throughout the day.

The event showcased a multitude of entertaining opportunities for audience engagement. Among these, the 'Pictionary' contest required one participant to illustrate a prompt while the other guessed the corresponding word. The 'Compatibility Test' pitted pairs of participants against each other, challenging them to write down related words based on a shared prompt. The duo with the most overlapping words emerged victorious. Additionally, the 'Guess the Logo/Tagline' game tested freshers' knowledge of brands through their logos and taglines. Successful participants in these mini-games were rewarded with discount coupons from 'Sandwich Smugglers' and 'A Happy Accident'.

Generous support from our gifting sponsor 'Budweiser' added to the event's flair. They distributed 400 complimentary cans of 'Budweiser Beats' to the crowd, contributing to the festive atmosphere.

However, the centerpiece of MARKADE 2.0 was undoubtedly 'BINGE THE RING'. Tailored exclusively for the freshmen, this engaging activity aimed to facilitate campus exploration and interaction among peers and seniors. Participating teams navigated through a series of challenges and tasks, signaling their completion by ringing a provided 'bell'. The excitement escalated as the 'Lucky Bell' came into play after a predetermined number of rings. This twist added an element of suspense, with the team ringing the 'Lucky Bell' being crowned the winners. To ensure fairness, prizes were also bestowed upon the team that successfully tackled the highest number of tasks. A competitive spirit enveloped the event, with around 100 students vying for victory. Prizes and refreshments worth Rs. 35,000 were distributed to the deserving participants. A helpful sponsorship from “Wiselife” also supported our prize distribution.

Complementing the lively activities, a dedicated photo booth allowed attendees to capture the memorable moments of the event. Furthermore, the '#thoughts' comments chart provided an avenue for attendees to share their impressions on the event, the college, the campus, and their interactions with seniors. The joyous afternoon concluded on a high note, with resounding praises, jubilant celebrations, and a strong sense of camaraderie prevailing amidst the backdrop of music and laughter.
